America’s most popular vehicle for over 30 years has finally retired. Announced today April 26th 2022 Ford Automotive and the American Auto Association will debut the new All Electric Ford F-150 Pickup Truck. WHAT? Did Scott just say that the classic, iconic F-150 will no longer use fuel!!!! Has Ford gone crazy? How in the hell will Ford convince Americas boaters, campers, cowboys and contractors to use EV? According to the designers it was an easy decision. The new all electric F-150 will beat the previously gas powered version in every category. That’s right, acceleration, torque, power and towing capacity. It also boasts more range than fuel versions and has features that engine lovers never imagined. Just wait until you pull your RV into the Rockies without overheating and then take your tools out of the front hood. Just imagine waking up each morning with a full tank of fuel and saving ten thousand or more a year in gas. And how about maintenance? Electric vehicles will also save you a fortune in maintenance. There are many fewer moving parts and systems to maintain. No fuel system, exhaust, transmission, conventional engine, radiator, starter, battery, fuel injection, or carburetor, ect ect ect. So what’s the big deal and why did Ford decide to screw up my favorite truck? Possibly it is because that these following features just weren’t possible in the gas powered version. The new Ford F-150 lightning will have 563 Horse power, 775 LB-FT of torque, 11 outlets with 9.6 kw of real power, and 10,000 lbs of towing capacity. This beauty will have cloud connectivity, voice control, hands free, app controlled and goes 0 to 60 in the mid 4 sec range. All this and it makes the new Ford 4 by 4 the first truck able to power your home for up to 3 days in case of an outage. This revolution is also affordable, the new truck is expected to list at about $37,000 and will qualify for the $7500 federal tax credit. Don’t miss the revolution or it will blow past you.
